Frequently Asked Questions

I encourage you to ask questions along the way. Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most.

FAQ: FAQ

What is the process to start?

Send a short email via the Let’s Connect page. In the email, please include your name, preferred contact method, a short description of your interest, and the best time to reach you. If you would like me to call you but not leave a message, please state that in your message.

Who do you work with and what are you looking for in a client?

I work with adults, 18 years and older, who are committed and motivated to make healthy lifestyle changes. I see people for psychotherapy, yoga, and personal training. I often see people who are interested in blending modalities to work on the mind and body.

I work best with clients who are open-minded to incorporating mindfulness-based activities like yoga and meditation at home to complement our work.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and can provide superbills for insurance purposes. I am not currently in-network, because in my opinion, working with insurance companies limits the work we can do and requires an outside party to dictate your needs.

I offer a sliding scale based on the federal poverty level. We can work together to create a fee structure that makes our work financially sustainable for you.

What are your fees?

I have a standard rate for talk therapy ($125 for 50-minutes), yoga teaching ($125 for 60-minutes), and personal training ($100 for 45-minutes), which allows me to sustainably provide space and care. However, if you experience financial hardship, I want to work with you to make my services accessible. We can shorten the time of a session, meet less frequently, or see where your income falls on the federal poverty level for a reduced rate.

What form of payment do you accept?

Cash, checks, and Venmo are accepted forms of payment. Payment is due at the time of the session or prior. I am happy to provide Superbills for clients to use their Health Savings Accounts or insurance. I cannot guarantee that any session will be reimbursed as each insurance plan varies significantly.

What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 24 hours notice is kindly requested to cancel your appointment without penalty. If you do not cancel your appointment at least 24 hours ahead of time or do not show for your appointment, you will be charged for the cost of service. I hold myself to this same standard. If I need to cancel your appointment less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time, your next session is free.
